NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A teenager from Bedford was found shot to death along a desolate country road, just off Interstate-35. Now police are asking for your help to find who killed her.

The body of Tynesia Brown was discovered Monday morning about 150 miles south of the Metroplex, near Jarrell. Investigators believe the 18 year old was murdered at a different location and then left near the highway.

Sergeant John Foster, with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, said there is a lot of information that needs to be gathered.

“We’d like to know where she was before she was murdered, what was going on before she was murdered, and most importantly, who murdered her,” he said,

Investigators believe that before she was killed, Brown had been visiting hotels and truck stops, up and down I-35, with a man and woman. The group is believed to have been traveling in a silver sedan.

“We think there are people out there that know what happened — we’re certain of that,” said Foster. “And we’re very confident someone will come forward.”

In the meantime, both the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers continue investigating the case.

A reward of p to $5,000 is being offered from North Texas Crime Stoppers. Anyone with information about Brown’s murder, or who may have been traveling with her, is to call 911, contact the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office at (512) 943-1300, or Crime Stoppers at (877) 373-TIPS (8477).
